BNB (Bob Nancy & Bruce) are three of the original four that formed the group – established in 1969, while attending Fenelon Falls Secondary School. Wayne Willson became a fourth member when Bob fractured his wrist playing football.
Not really sure how it happened, but learning of a highly regarded music festival in the area, the foursome began to prepare (fall of 1969) to enter the competition hosted in Coburg in the spring of 1970 – the Kawartha Folk Festival. During the weeks and months before the competition, they performed at every school function available (assemblies and family nights etc.).
With only a few short hours of rehearsal time together, the group achieved a First-place tie with a well established group from eastern Ontario. An amazing achievement for these four young musicians with only a few hours of practice time together.
At the end of that school year, each of the four went off on their own life journeys while their magical sound fell silent……………..for FIFTY YEARS!!!
